The show begins as the hall goes dark and the sound of conch shells echoes through the air. From the fantastic opening number, a dramatic performance of different atmospheres unfolded at once, including a heroic men's dance, a glamorous women's dance, a couple's dance, a battle drum, and an overwhelmingly powerful fire dance. The explosive drum beats and the emotionally charged singing of the female singers are all performed live, and when combined with the dancers' true-to-life performances, the result is a truly realistic entertainment that can only be enjoyed on the southern islands.
